The example program for object-oriented programming is intended to illustrate control of a sorting unit for metal and plastic boxes according to their material type. The sorting process consists of two operations, separation and discharging, which are realized with the aid of cylinders. The cylinders are of different types and should be exchangeable with a different cylinder type. The system can distinguish the different material types by means of a sensor for metal detection, so that metal boxes (gray) and plastic boxes (green) are discharged on different auxiliary conveyor belts. The following video illustrates the sorting process, with the system viewed from above. |
