Overview of the Department and Position:
Line Technical Support is a department that belongs to Development & Engineering area, in Carton Value division based in Modena.
Among its variety of functions, it plays a crucial role in ensuring excellence support to Tetra Pak Market Companies’ Technical Service, which is the primary interface with the final customer (Food & Drink Industries) as concerns installation, maintenance activities, troubleshooting of Tetra Pak Packaging Lines.
Tetra Pak Market Companies are spread all over the world in order to support customers.
Besides the support to Market Companies, Line Technical Support is also responsible for collecting and analysing feedback from the markets to facilitate engineering focus and project support.
Within this team we are looking for 1 Automation Technical Support Specialist to anticipate proactively potential issues and offering support in the implementation and monitoring of solutions.

In this position you will:
• anticipate proactively potential issues, analyzing internal and external feed-back, complains from the market, Technical Liaison inputs;
• Log the issues in issue database and lead it in the whole process analysis until the ‘engineering change request’;
• support in the validation process for solution related to Product Maintenance and Substaining Engineering (in this area you will organize the field test and provide feed-back for the approval of the solution under test);
• monitor the performances of released Rebuilding Kit and maintain a database;
• assist with competences and resources for the investigation of equipment related issues to identify root cause;
• support the market from remote, and travelling on site when needed, for advanced troubleshooting.

All the above is related mainly to automation issues.

Education and Languages:
Studies in automation (elecritc/electronic/mechatronic) area are required (university degree is preferable).
You are skilled in English, both written and spoken.

Professional Skills and Experience:
Four, five years of working experience (in R&D, programming, commissioning and technical service functions) on automatic machines or lines and very good skills and competences in automation (plc / motion) are required; food and aseptic equipment experience is preferred.

Personal Qualifications:
As a person you are analytical and detailed oriented. You have good communication skills and you are able to take initiatives by driving activities independently and leading people in a multicultural environment, with the ability of exchanging information, supporting colleagues to achieve personal and team goals.
